San Marcos built itself a whole new downtown and honestly? I could get used to living in it 🏙️ #ad

Here is the deal: North City @northcitysandiego is a new downtown district in San Marcos, and 222 North City is its first high-rise, the first of its kind in North County. These are condo-quality rentals, from studios all the way up to four-bedroom penthouses, in a neighborhood where the art, the coffee, the restaurants, and the experiences are all part of the same plan. It feels less like an apartment building and more like a little city within the city.

I did the full day in the life: coffee, pastries, then a tour like I was already picking furniture (I was).

Here’s what you need to know:

☕ Start with coffee at @necessity.coffee

🥐 Grab a pastry at @christopherullpatisserie

🏡 Head back home to @222northcity. The residence I toured is 2 bed, 2 bath, two-level and south-facing, with floor-to-ceiling glass and mountain views.

🛁 Soaking tub, Dekton countertops, and expansive closet space (yes, I checked the closets first).

🎨 A real art collection throughout, with pieces by Ugo Rondinone, Jorge Pardo, and Odili Donald Odita, plus a two-story gym, clubhouses, and a resort-style pool downstairs.

🧺 The weekly San Marcos Farmers Market is right in the neighborhood, but there’s always something happening here. Think Dancing in the Street, game nights, run clubs, art, wellness events, and more. Follow @northcitysandiego to see what’s coming up!

Did you know Fox Point Farms is an agrihood, a whole neighborhood built around a working regenerative farm? The restaurant cooks with produce grown steps from the kitchen, and there is always something going on around the farm itself.
