Welcome to the “Transitioning Trends” Series. Whether Winter likes it or not, Spring is coming. I don’t know about you but I’m so ready to pack up my sweater arsenal and pull out all my favorite good weather fabrics – chiffons, cottons, and silks. Lately I’ve been shopping for items that would be great transition styles because who doesn’t love more bang for their buck? In my new series – Transitioning Trends – I show you how I’ve taken trendy pieces from winter to spring with just a few changes!
This week on Transitional Trends we’re talking duster coats. In my last post, I styled this pastel pink duster with all black. Well for spring, we’re doing the ying to the yang and going with white. I wanted the look to take on a more sweet and fresh vibe. Think flowers in bloom and romantic walks along the lake front. I used black as a “pop” color to tie in the bag and heels. Looking back, I might trade in the stiletto for a wedge and the structured bag for a bright clutch to make the look more fun and relaxed.
