How to Spend 3 Hours in Palermo, Sicily

August 23, 2021 · In: Europe, Italy, Sicily, WANDERLUST

As the capital of Sicily, and the heart of the island economically and culturally, there is a lot to see in Palermo. You could easily spend a week getting lost in the little streets, popping into hidden churches, and eating…

Tip: Grab drinks + apps here before heading into Puerto Nuevo for fresh seafood! It’s also a fun stop en route to wine country 🍷

This might just be the cutest airport in the USA: This might just be the cutest airport in the USA: and you’ll find it nestled in California’s wine country - @flystsairport ✈️

It’s named after Charles M. Schultz, the author of Charlie Brown, who was a longtime resident of Santa Rosa.

This little airport is small but mighty AND has nonstops to San Diego ☀️👏

Things to do on Coronado Island that aren’t the Things to do on Coronado Island that aren’t the Hotel del 💕 (I love @delcoronado as much as the next girlie, but here are a few other options to add to your list)!

🏠 The Wizard of Oz house: L. Frank Baum wrote parts of his series here, and rumor has it the Emerald City was inspired by the Hotel Del. Look for the small “Oz” sign.

🏡 The Baby Del: A Victorian home built in 1887, moved to the island in 1983. Just a quick walk from the real Del.

🌳 Tidelands Park: The island’s biggest park and somehow the least crowded. Perfect for a picnic or bike ride — rent one down the block at Ray’s Rentals.

🚣 Gondola ride through the Coronado Cays: Venetian-style canals, BYOB, and a 50-minute cruise through one of San Diego’s most hidden neighborhoods. @thegondolacompany

🌅 Bayview Park: My personal favorite. A tiny park with arguably the best view of the San Diego skyline.

☕ Clayton’s Coffee Shop: A 1940s diner frozen in time on Orange Ave. Get there early on weekends. @claytonscoffeeshop

📸 The Welcome to Coronado mural: Classic photo op. Grab an ice cream from @mootimecreamery down the street and make an afternoon of it.
