The Ritz gets all the attention. This one gets all The Ritz gets all the attention. This one gets all the magic. 🫖 The afternoon tea spot locals actually go to in London: @milestone_hotel

If you’re doing afternoon tea in London, skip the tourist traps and add The Milestone Hotel to your itinerary. It’s tucked inside a Grade II listed Victorian building in Kensington, directly across from Kensington Palace and somehow, it still flies under the radar.

Here’s what you need to know before you go.

The building dates back to 1883 and originally served as private residences for wealthy aristocrats. It became a hotel in 1922, and the interiors still feel like you’ve stepped into someone’s very elegant, very storied home. Mahogany furniture, antique bookcases, an open fireplace. ✨

Tea is served in the Park Lounge or Cheneston’s Restaurant, with three sittings daily: 1–3pm, 3–5pm, and 5–7pm. The spread includes finger sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream + homemade preserves, and a full selection of loose-leaf teas.

💷 Traditional Afternoon Tea from £85 per person. Champagne Afternoon Tea from £98 per person.
🕐 Monday through Sunday

Save this for your London trip. 🔖

This might just be London’s most beautiful resta This might just be London’s most beautiful restaurant: @bacchanalialdn.bar 🥂

Tucked inside Mayfair, Bacchanalia feels more like stepping into a Greco-Roman fantasy than a restaurant. Think towering Damien Hirst sculptures, dramatic interiors, candlelight, and one of the prettiest dining rooms I’ve ever seen in London. ✨

If you go on a Sunday, they also host their famous Opera Lunch with live performances throughout the afternoon. The set menu starts at £41 for two courses or £46 for three courses, which honestly feels surprisingly reasonable for Mayfair. 🎭

And don’t skip Apollo’s Muse, the hidden cocktail bar tucked inside the restaurant. It was recently named one of Europe’s best bars and feels impossibly chic. Hours are daily from 12pm until late.

The literal proof of what happens the second I ask The literal proof of what happens the second I ask someone to take a photo of me ✨ The craziest part? Right before this there hadn’t been cars, people, OR bikes venturing by 😖

🌸Anyways - you should visit London during the Chelsea Flower Show! Chelsea in Bloom + Belgravia in Bloom feature so many beautiful floral installations from various businesses and artists. This usually starts the 3rd or 4th Tuesday of May each year and runs through the Sunday!

How I got London’s most iconic photo with zero p How I got London’s most iconic photo with zero people in it… ☕️🇬🇧

Turns out the secret is dragging yourself there by 6:30am 😅

I genuinely could not believe how empty it was. (Especially considering the crazy lines I’ve seen all over Instagram).

Pro tip: this is actually the perfect first morning activity if you’re jet lagged because you’ll probably already be awake anyway ⏰
