Did you know Los Angeles has its very own witch house? This spooky spot makes for the cutest storybook home.

Meet the Spadena House 🏠 Designed by Hollywood art director Harry Oliver in 1921, it was originally built as offices + dressing rooms for his Culver City film studio and later moved to Beverly Hills in 1926. It received its name after the first residents - the Spadena Family!

Here’s what you need to know:
🥯 There’s a limited quantity of bagels made daily (with a delish pumpkin cream cheese)
⏰ So plan to get there early, especially if you want to sit in the fun hand drawn themed room!
☕️ The lattes inside the pumpkins aren’t available yet, and likely planned for October 🙏

Working in tech + creating content + sitting on the charity board fully hijacked the “what’s for dinner” part of my brain 😩 So I outsourced it. Built my own @muse , named her Muffy, gave her one job this week: figure out dinner.

She asked permission before touching my calendar, checked what I actually had going on, then built a full menu + grocery list + recipe doc without me lifting a finger.

My favorite part? She offered to email the whole thing to my husband so it was one less thing on my plate. Literally.

This is the Muse app from Meta. Mine has an actual personality now and I’m kind of obsessed 🤍

The best pumpkin bread I’ve ever tried (not to be dramatic)🎃🍞✨

Pumpkin Bread Recipe (makes 2 loaves): 🥄 Dry: 3 c flour, 2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp nutmeg, 1/2 tsp cloves, ½ tsp salt, 1 tsp baking soda, ½ tsp baking powder. 🍯 Cream: 3 c sugar + 1 c very soft (half-melted) unsalted butter + 3 eggs → beat ~2 min until fluffy. 🧡 Add: 1 can pumpkin purée (16 oz). ✨ Mix: Add dry in 3 parts, just until combined. 🥜 Optional: Fold in ½ c chopped pecans. 🍞 Bake: Divide into 2 greased loaf pans. 350°F ~60 min, until golden + knife tests clean.

I can’t believe I’m typing this... Palm Trees & Pellegrino is 10. 🤍

Ten years ago I started this little corner of the internet when it was such a different world. Back when it was all blogs, and logging onto Instagram to post one static, probably way too filtered photo a few times a week. No stories. No reels. No videos. Just... sharing because you loved it.

The landscape has changed so much since then, and honestly so have I, but what hasn’t changed is how grateful I am for this community. For everyone who has been here since the blog days, and everyone who found P&P along the way.

Thank you for letting me share my little slice of San Diego, travels, life, and everything in between for a decade. I can’t believe how long it’s been and at the same time, I feel like we’re just getting started.

Here’s to 10 years & whatever comes next. I love you guys. 🥂
